Fly Line Backing
Sold per metre – Backing is as important as a fly line. What will happen if you only have your fly line on the reel and a big fish takes you and you run out of line? That’s what fly line backing per metre is for. To back you up in your hour of need! Select the strength Dacron you want (generally 20lb for freshwater, and 30lb for saltwater, unless you are chasing beeg fish, you need to go stronger) and the colour, and how many meters you want. If you are buying a reel, please let us know in the comments if you want it put on the reel. The stronger lines are sold as braid in spools from 300m.
